The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency files suit in federal court against the Boston Water and Sewer Commission, the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, the Metropolitan District Commission, and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority, charging continuing violations of federal water pollution laws in Boston Harbor. The suit is decided in U.S. District Court in September 1985.*
